Membrane protein purification platform (MP3)
Summary
 The MP3 platform corresponds to four protein purification modules of the Akta Xpress type, dedicated to membrane protein purification.
Purification experiments can be carried out at room temperature or at 4°C on one or several purification modules in an independent way or in parallel. This platform allows to reproduce at a larger scale a previously established protocol, and in the case of a poorly stable sample to rapidly conjugate all the purification steps or simultaneously test various purification conditions.
Other purification options can also been considered in agreement with the staff in charge of the equipment.

At room temperature: 2 Akta Xpress with the associated columns.
At 4°C: 2 Akta Xpress with the associated columns.
Different columns are available for purification:
- Ion exchange (Q or S).
- Affinity (GST-Tag, HIS-Tag et Strep-Tag II).
- Gel filtration (Superdex 200).
Accessibility
The platform should be accessible by the end of 2009 – beginning of 2010.
Charges
The experiments will be charged according to the type of experiment (particularly depending on the detergent used) and will be discussed with the person in charge of the platform.
