Nina Christou

has started to work on her thesis in octobre 2017 shared with the team of B. Brutscher

During my bachelors degree in Physics in the University of Southampton I became particularly interested in Photonics and Nanotechnology which lead me to pursue a Masters in UCL, London in Nanotechnology as applied to medicine. This experience increased my enthusiasm on fluorescent biomarkers and directed me towards optogenetics and fluorescent proteins. For a year before joining the IBS, I was working on biosensor development in the Max-Planck for Neurobiology. At the moment, I am combining my deep interest in NMR with my expertise on fluorescent proteins to elucidate the dynamics and structure of phototransformable proteins.
