Presentation of the TEM platform

The EM platform provides three types of services
- Quality control (negative staining)
- Cryo-electron microscopy
- Cellular electron microscopy

The platform also provides access to equipments under certain conditions
Scientific collaborations, that require specific developments, are possible upon requests.

Key words

Negative staining, cryo-electron microscopy, tomography, cellular electron microscopy, correlative microscopy (CLEM).

Transmission electron microscopes :

Microscopy associated instruments :

  • Carbon evaporator
  • Glow discharger
  • FEI Vitrobot (automated vitrification machine)

Instruments for cellular sample preparation :

  • Automated high-pressure freezer Leica HPM100
  • Automated freeze substitution machine Leica AFS2 + FSP
  • (Cryo-)ultra-microtome Leica UC7/FC7
