An important role of the IBS is the training of young researchers in structural biology :

• The Institute hosts trainees of all levels (consult “Traineeships”),

• The IBS welcomes doctoral students (see "Thesis Proposals"),

• The institute is a joint research unit of the University Joseph Fourier of Grenoble and our university lecturers and researchers are involved in various teaching activities : teaching in the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy and Physics , responsibility of several units and participation in the functioning of the university (councils, committees...). They also collaborate with other french universities (Lyon, Clermont, etc ...),

• Participation in European training courses and workshops, such as HERCULES, ESONN and various others.

In addition, the IBS spreads scientific culture to different audiences, with particular attention to young people (see “Science Day”).
