The 2023 Pierre Favard Prize in Life Sciences has been awarded to Benoît Arragain for his thesis carried out in the Electron Microscopy and Methods Group at IBS and defended in 2021, entitled " Structural and functional analysis of Bunyaviral replication and transcription" (details).
The prize was awarded during the 18th Conference of the French Society of Microscopies, held at the University of Rouen in July 2023.
The Pierre Favard prizes are awarded by the French Society of Microscopies for high-quality doctoral work in microscopy (electron, optical, near-field, tomography, etc.) carried out int a French university. One prize is awarded for Life Sciences and another for Material Sciences. They are awarded every two years. Each winner is invited to give a lecture at the Society’s biennial meeting following the award ceremony.
