I joined Joanna Timmins’ team in 2018 and am interested in DNA repair through the base excision repair pathway. Specifically, we work on the DNA glycosylase NTH1, which removes oxidized pyrimidine bases, and its protein partner YB1, which stimulates NTH1’s repair activity. Our research focuses on the study of the molecular mechanisms of DNA repair by NTH1 in eukaryotic cells, notably in the context of chemo-resistant cancer cells. In addition, since YB1 is overexpressed in a large number of cancers, and we are conducting a study to exploit YB1 as a diagnostic, prognostic and companion biomarker in cancer.

As a research professor at the University of Grenoble Alpes (UGA), I teach in the fields of molecular and cellular biology and biochemistry. I am Director of Studies for the 3rd year students of the Bachelor of Biology. Currently, I am an elected member of the Commission Formation et Vie Universitaire (CFVU).
