I am a PhD student in the GenOM team and I am interested in the Base Excision Repair pathway. For my PhD, I am studying the interaction between the DNA repair protein APE1 and NPM1, the nucleophosmin 1, in order to deepen our understanding of the mechanisms preserving genome integrity. This interaction is hijacked in several types of cancers to ensure their proliferation and resist cancer treatments. With my PhD, I aim to gain insight into the structure of the APE1-NPM1 complex using several techniques, including Cryo-EM and NMR, but biophysical methods to characterize the interaction.
During my biochemistry bachelor degree, I discovered structural biology and looked for a master degree in this field where I developed a particular interest for disordered proteins such as NPM1.
