As head of the ISBG’s M4D cell imaging platform, I joined the I2SR group when it was created to integrate, for the benefit of all, the cell imaging and image analysis tools into the research themes developed within the group. My research activity, initially focused on the study of signaling pathways during efferocytosis (phagocytosis of apoptotic bodies), is now turning towards the analysis of the dynamics of the radioresistant bacteria Deinococcus radiodurans during cell division or in response to stress.
