I am a CEA researcher and joined Joanna Timmins’ team in November 2024. My work is in the field of integrative structural biology and aims to elucidate fundamental mechanisms. I am currently leading two projects focused on identifying and characterizing the regulatory role of the human protein nucleophosmin 1 (NPM1) in :
(i) base excision repair (BER), and
(ii) HIV-1 replication.
To answer these questions, I use a set of complementary approaches — biochemical, biophysical, structural, and cellular — to analyze key protein complexes whose interfaces could constitute new therapeutic targets.

Throughout my career, I have chosen to work in a wide variety of fields and areas, ranging scientifically from genes to protein structure. This unusual career path has been extremely rewarding for me, allowing me to work on different topics and gain a broader, more comprehensive view of what can be achieved through a multidisciplinary approach to fundamental research in biology.
