Previously a member of the Immune Response to Altered Self (IRPAS) group, I have been working for over 15 years with my small team, on the clearance of apoptotic cells by macrophages (also called Efferocytosis), in particular by focusing on the components of the phagocytic synapse at the molecular and cellular levels. Our most recent studies have focused on CD47 (also known as IAP, integrin associated protein) and SIRPa, well known for controlling phagocytosis and as "immune checkpoints" particularly critical in the immune evasion of many cancer cells types.

I teach at the Chemistry-Biology Department but also at Polytech-Grenoble (INP-UGA engineering institute) and at the Pharmacy Department. I teach cellular and molecular biology and this includes courses on immunology and on advanced methods of fluorescence microscopy (super resolution) and flow cytometry.

I am currently a member of the Scientific Council of CNRS Biological Sciences Institute and of the National Council of Universities (section 65, cell biology).
