INTRODUCTION

La thématique principale de l’équipe concerne le développement de la technologie "Ion Channel-Coupled Receptor" (ICCR) par fusion de Récepteurs Couplés aux Protéines G (RCPG) avec un canal ionique (Kir6.2). La fixation de ligands (agonistes ou antagonistes) sur le RCPG est traduite en signal électrique par le canal ionique. Cette technologie offre de nombreux avantages : mesure en temps réel, absence de marquage, signal proportionnel à la concentration de ligand, indépendance vis à vis des voies de signalisation intracellulaires, interfaçable avec des dispositifs de micro- et nano-électroniques.
Plus récemment, l’équipe étudie des récepteurs olfactifs de vertébrés et d’insectes.
Deux axes de recherche sont menés en parallèle : 1) comprendre les mécanismes moléculaires par des approches structure-fonction ; 2) développer des applications de ces protéines membranaires comme biocapteurs.
