Bacterial Pathogenesis GroupGroup Leader : Andréa Dessen Antibiotic resistance is a major threat to global health, food security and economic development. Currently, over 700,000 people die yearly as a consequence of antimicrobial-resistant infections, and higher numbers are predicted by the UN for the near future. Our group aims at understanding bacterial infectious processes at a molecular level, and participating in the development of novel antibiotherapies for antibiotic-resistant pathogens.
